First children’s poetry collection, ‘Saturdays at the Imaginarium’, to be published by Troika

The secret’s out… thankfully, because it’s been killing me sitting on this one!

I’m thrilled, tickled and cock-a-hoop to confirm that my first full poetry collection for children will be published by Troika in Spring 2020.

‘Saturdays at the Imaginarium’ will celebrate creative thinking, champion curiosity and revel in the pleasure of looking at things ever so slightly slant.

With enormous thanks to the wonderful team at Troika who are an absolute delight to work with: Martin West, Roy Johnson and the awesome artist Jude Wisdom who I’m honoured to say is illustrating our book.

Here’s a flyer with a sneak preview of what’s in store….

Moonstruck: new children’s poetry anthology

2019 is the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing (in July 1969) and to mark the occasion there’s a brand new anthology of children’s poems dedicated entirely to the moon.

Edited by Roger Stevens and illustrated by Ed Boxall, Moonstruck! is an inspirational and beautifully produced anthology from Otter-Barry Books that will spark children’s imaginations and which celebrates both the science and the magic of our solar system.

Poets include Valerie Bloom, Liz Brownlee, James Carter, Sue Hardy-Dawson, Brian Moses,  Laura Mucha, Rachel Rooney, Andrea Shavick, Philip Waddell and Bernard Young, as well as Percy Bysshe Shelley, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow,  W.B. Yeats, Emily Bronte – and me!
